Keyhaven and Lymington Town Cruise to Chichester - July 1st-4th 2022.

7 boats set sail to Chichester, some departing Thursday others Friday. We stayed at Shepherd's in Cowes with Samphire on Thursday night, departing in time for tides and access over the bar and through the lock. A gentle sail force 4 with occasional gusts resulted in us arriving at the bar in 3 hours. We then had a lovely gentle and scenic meander to Chichester Harbour.

We entered through free flow on the lock and were directed to our Dock. What lovely people work there!

That afternoon, we went for a lovely walk to a local pub for some refreshments and then went back to get ready to go out to the Cider House for a delicious pizza. Walking distance down the drive.

The following day we walked into Chichester along the river. A beautiful walk with lots of butterflies, crickets, and birds. A bit of lunch and retail therapy and bus back!

That evening a social onboard one of the boats for all 13 of us. This was then followed by a delicious meal at the Chichester Harbour Yacht Club with Abba music till 11pm.

Departed mid-morning through the lock! Very interesting/exciting and then a lively and quick sail home, back in Lymington by 4pm having had a great sail back. Thank you to Ian grieves for arranging such a fantastic weekend. Lovely to see so many fellow cruisers joining in the fun.
