SAVE TALL SHIP TENACIOUS
Published 12:54 on 20 May 2024
For those who may not have heard about this story - Tall Ship Tenacious has been owned by Jubilee Sailing Trust, and is designed for disabled and non-disabled people to have the opportunity to sail together. Sadly JST has stopped trading and a new owner is being sought.
There has been a dramatic turn in this story and there is now a potential overseas buyer. If this bid is successful then the ship will be lost for the purpose she was designed for - taking disabled and non-disabled people sailing together.
The 'Save Tall Ship Tenacious' group are looking for all the support they can get to bring this issue up in Parliament to consider a restraint on the sale of Tenacious to oversea buyers. THEY NEED YOUR HELP!
If you are able to write to our MPs and ask them to bring the issue up in Parliament that would be great, but also, anyone with a link to a well-known sailor or any way of publicising the cause, please let them know. https://www.tenacious.org.uk/
Below is the link to an earlier story that the BBC ran for them explaining the background.
