17.00 Spring Series 7 & 8
Race Report 10/4/22
Sunday 10th April saw a 1700 start for Spring Series races 7 and 8.
Conditions were near perfect with an Easterly 16 knot wind diminishing during the racing.
The open fleet comprised 5 Finns, 4 Lasers and 2 Laser 2000s, with 5 boats competing in the Scow class.
Race Officer Robin Dent set course 6 'triangle sausage' aided by wife Penny, Heidi and our wonderful support boat crews which featured some new faces.
Open class results:
- Race 7: 1st Cy Grisley, 2nd Roddy Steel, 3rd Simon Moss
- Race 8: 1st Cy Grisley, 2nd Roddy Steel, 3rd Andrew Hurst
Scow Class results:
- Race 7: 1st Chris Cecil-Wright, 2nd Angus Raby, 3rd Andy Ash-Vie
- Race 8: 1st Chris Cecil-Wright, 2nd Andy Ash-Vie, 3rd Jo & Richard Edwards
It would be fantastic to see more people on the water so if you have been hesitating about getting involved in racing, do come down and make yourself known to any of the racers who will be happy to set you on the right track.
