14.00 Junior & Race Introduction + 16.00 'Round the Island' Race
ALL CHANGE FOR THIS SATURDAY! (21st May). With it being early in the season, it was felt that all PB2 parents could do with a RIB driving refresher and safety instruction for rescues.
We have been lucky to secure 3 RIB drivers who will run a session between midday and 4pm on Saturday for as many Junior & Youth parents who can attend. Limited places are available so please email markjardine.yandy@gmail.com by Thursday evening to secure your place.
In the afternoon we will also run an 'Introduction to Racing' session for the kids in the clubhouse, which will give them a grounding in what the flags mean at the start, what racing is available, as well as the basic rules of racing.
We then intend to run a 'Round the Island' race (starting at 4pm), starting from the pontoon line just off the slipway and sailing around the marshes.
We strongly encourage all parents to attend the RIB training. The kids have a huge amount of fun during the sailing sessions, and safety has to be our absolute priority. The more parents we have able to do safe rescues, the wider the range of conditions we will be able to sail in!

here. This must be filled in before the first sailing session. If the link does not work, go to Sections/Youth and Juniors on the website and at the bottom of the page is the form for downloading. The office has a folder for all the forms so once completed, please drop them off for filing. Please don't forget to give the club a copy of your boat insurance documents if your child uses their own dinghy.
