Dinghy Sailing Courses
We offer courses all year round on club boats and can occasionally arrange for own-boat tuition if required. Expect to spend most of the time on your course afloat – these are practical courses, after all!
Children's Courses

RYA Stage 1
Duration: 2 days
Max. students/instructor: 6:1 in singlehanders
Cost: £170
RYA Stage 1 provides youths with an introduction to the parts of the boat and the basic principles of how to get a boat sailing.

RYA Stage 2
Duration: 2 days
Max. students/instructor: 6:1 in singlehanders
Cost: £170
RYA Stage 2 in the youth sailing scheme will help to develop the skills needed to sail around a course and understand the basic principles needed to become a confident sailor.

RYA Stage 1+2 Combined
Duration: 5 days
Max. students/instructor: 6:1 in singlehanders
Cost: £300
RYA Stage 1 and 2 in the youth sailing scheme will help to develop the skills needed to sail around a course and understand the basic principles needed to become a confident sailor. Save £40 by booking a combined Stage 1 and 2 sailing course for the kids, while also giving them an extra day of sailing to master their skills.
Adult Dinghy Sailing Courses

RYA Dinghy Level 1 - Start Sailing
Duration: 2 days
Max. students/instructor: 3:1 in crewed boats or 6:1 in singlehanders
Cost: £170 (as an intensive 2-day course) or £17 PAYG per evening session
This course is currently run as a series of 2-hour evening sessions, working gradually towards the qualification.
