RYA Marine Radio SRC (VHF) Course & Exam - Friday 12th May

As part of our training programme, we have availability on the RYA Marine Radio Short Range Certificate (VHF) course being held on Friday 12th May from 9am until 5pm.

A radio is an important piece of safety equipment on board and it is vital to understand the correct procedures. The course covers the basics of radio operation, frequencies, distress, emergency and medical assistance procedures, making ship to shore telephone calls, Digital Selective Calling, Global Maritime Distress Safety System.

This course is for anyone who owns a fixed or handheld marine VHF radio. The SRC exam consist of a written theory exam and assessment in the practical use of marine VHF radios and is scheduled for Saturday 13th May - times to be confirmed.

The course costs £65pp, and the exam and licence fee is paid directly to the RYA at an additional cost of £70. For further information, or to book your space, click here.
