Looking to build your skills, boost your confidence on the water, or gain a qualification to support club activities? We have a great line-up of RYA training courses at KYC this autumn!

RYA Powerboat Level 2 - October/November
Our last Powerboat Level 2 courses of the year are coming up, with spaces available on both dates! This two-day course develops essential boat-handling and seamanship skills, covering everything from low-speed manoeuvres to handling a boat on the plane. For KYC members, the qualification also opens the door to taking on the helm role during club support boat duties. £260 per person for members (Those volunteering for support boat duties will be able to claim back half of the cost of the course once they have helped on the support boats for any four club-organised events)

RYA First Aid – 18th October
Be prepared for the unexpected with this one-day course combining theory and practical training, with first aid topics tailored to the boating environment. Essential knowledge for anyone spending time on the water — you never know when you might need it! £75 per person for members

RYA Marine Radio SRC (VHF) – 21st November
A marine VHF radio is a vital piece of safety equipment on board, and knowing how to use it correctly is essential. This course and exam are suitable for anyone with a fixed or handheld marine VHF radio. £75 for members, plus £76 payable to the RYA for the exam and licence.
