Totland Sandcastle Competition
Published 15:05 on 7 Jun 2023
Saturday saw the annual Totland Sandcastle Competition. Local dinghy sailing clubs are invited to sail there and compete, have free tea and cake, and build sandcastles. You don't actually have to build a sandcastle, you can just have tea and watch the fun! HCSC organise the Keyhaven contingent and did a great job - 14 dinghies went (including 7 Scows).
The KYC Scow team got a distinction for their Galapagos themed creation, and the Raby family came second, with their youngest member getting the prize for the youngest competitor. Fabulous sailing was had by all.
Next year, will be their 33rd year, and it would be great to take a few more KYC competitors so keep your eyes out for the posters nearer the time. Report and photos thanks to Liz MacEwan.
