Racing Seminar: To discuss ideas to improve racing and attendance at racing for 2023!

Published 11:55 on 13 Oct 2022

Dinghy racing is one of the core activities of our club. Traditionally most racing takes place on a Sunday, but unfortunately this year the numbers of racers and volunteers has been quite low. In view of this we have scheduled this seminar in an attempt to identify what would make those interested in dinghy racing turn out in greater numbers.

The purpose of this evening is to allow members to air views and discuss potential solutions, so that racing in future years is better supported and easier to manage. This will not just be a talking shop, there will be some structure to it and hopefully we will come away with ideas that we can implement in 2023.

Whether you are an existing or potential racer, or support team member, we'd like to hear your views on the night. Nothing is sacrosanct and everything is on the table: different series, different type of race, different courses etc. However, if you are unable to attend, and/or would prefer to email us, please feel free to email or contact Rob Tarbard ( robert.tarbard@sky.com) or Neil Peacock (neil.peacock@live.co.uk) beforehand.

Remember, this is your chance to input your ideas directly into club plans for racing next year and beyond.

I appeal to all members to contribute to this seminar which should help to mould the future of a very important aspect of the club.

We look forward to an interesting and constructive evening

Thanks for your continuing support

Rob Tarbard and Neil Peacock
